The research groups gathered in this workpackage, taking advantage of a long-term background
in inorganic and organic spectroscopy, photochemistry and electrochemistry, have gained considerable
expertise in the design and characterization of supramolecular species under the photo-physical,
photochemical and electrochemical viewpoint, with the main objective of realizing prototypes of
light-driven molecular-level devices and machines.
Additional feed back with in silico simulation work
of the involved theoretical groups will help them to understand the key steps of photochemically-driven
processes and, finally, to achieve an improved design light-fueled molecular motors.
