The Structure of the Workpackages

Due to the high complexity of the scientific field, the working organization of BIOMACH will be highly parallel: Continuing research work on the design of artificial and/or investigation of biological molecular machines will yield new systems which will immediately subjected to nano-handling techniques. Of particular interest will be the design of alternative fueling systems for biological systems and the conceptualization of new design principles for artificial machines. In general, the research work of BIOMACH can be encountered at the cross-road between Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Computional Simulation.
